Q&A with Karen Brereton
Q: What are you interests?
A: My main interest is volume and enhancing facial contour to ensure that a natural appearance is obtained. My main areas of interest are the upper face and lip enhancements.
Q: What is your favourite treatment and why?
A: One of my personal favourites and my personal products of choice and my daily facial routine is obagi nu-derm it transforms your skins appearance from the Inside Out. It actually repairs the skin. Ageing is a natural process, but daily sun exposure can contribute to premature ageing. Sun-damaged skin appears dull, with older, damaged cells accumulating due to slower skin cell turnover.
Q: What do you enjoy most about your job?
A: Having a special interest in advancing nursing practice I am aware of the importance to continue to develop my own skills to advance my own practice in injectable treatments. By doing so it ensures that I can offer the best practice that I can, and using quality products so that I can offer bespoke treatments with an honest approach to my clients.
Q: What advice you would give to someone considering injectable treatments?
A: Karen’s advise to anyone who is thinking of having any injectable treatments is firstly never do anything you are not certain of and make sure you do your research, not only on the product injected into your face but on your practitioner and that they are a qualified registered safe practitioner who is experienced and knows what to do If a complication arose. Secondly invest in your skin. It is the first thing that we see when you meet someone for the first time.
