How does it work?
Sculptra is a facial injectable treatment that works to target the underlying causes of the signs of ageing such as collagen loss when injected into the dermis layers of the face. The collagen process provides a foundation that gradually re-builds the look of fullness and plumpness in the skin, in turn eradicating wrinkles, lines and even deep folds. During the course of your Sculptra treatment, collagen growth is stimulated. Over time, you’ll notice changes to your face that can last for more than 2 years.
How does Sculptra differ from dermal filler?
Sculptra is a biocompatible and biodegradable injectable material known as poly-L-lactic acid (PLA) that naturally stimulates the skins cells to produce its own collagen. Dermal fillers address wrinkles, lines and folds using hyaluronic acid. Both treatments achieve a natural looking improvement to volume but work in different way.
What happens during the treatment?
Your treatment will take place in one of our private treatment rooms. The practitioner will cleanse the area and will start the injections. Treatments typically take around 30 minutes.
What does the treatment feel like?
The discomfort level is minimal.
What happens after the treatment?
You can return to normal activity after your treatment, however we suggest that you avoid applying make up for several hours.
