Natural looking results | Restore facial volume | Erase fine lines & wrinkles | Improve lip definition
What are dermal fillers?
Most modern non-permanent fillers are made of hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring substance found in the body. This helps hydrate and add volume to your skin. As you age, the natural replacement of hyaluronic acid is reduced and therefore the moisturising and plumping effects decrease, which is where fine lines & wrinkles start to appear.
Where can they be used?
Dermal fillers can be used on the face, neck, décolletage or backs of hands to revitalise and refresh the overall appearance of your skin and help instantly improve facial lines, acne scars and other contouring deficiencies.
How long do they last?
The effects will last generally between 6 months to year, but can last for up to 18 months depending on where the treatment is applied. Your Doctor or Nurse will explain this to you.
We are rigorous in our commitment to safety. All of our clinics are regulated and accredited, and our impeccable track record and investment in high quality, regulated and proven specialist equipment means you can have complete confidence and trust in DestinationSkin to administer injectable treatments safely.
Take your time to do your research! Only approach a qualified Doctor / Nurse who’s trained to administer injectable treatments, check that the provider is accredited by relevant professional bodies, and question what products are being used. You can be confident that DestinationSkin is commited to delivering safe, natural results. A pre-treatment consultation with your Doctor / Nurse includes a discussion about the areas of concern, the treatment options available and expected results.
The chosen product is injected just beneath the skins surface to replace the collagen and the hyaluronic acid supports layers which have been reduced. Your Doctor/Nurse may massage the area to ensure that the filler is smooth.

Frequently Asked Questions
What areas can be treated?
Most typical areas for treatment are found between the eyes, around the mouth or nasal labial folds. Volume loss mainly occurs in the lips, cheeks and chin areas. The face map below shows the areas that can be treated.
Does it hurt?
You may feel an initial sting but only for a moment. Dermal fillers are injected using extremely fine needles and your Doctor/Nurse may numb the area using a topical anaesthetic cream prior to commencement of treatment to minimise sensation of treatment. For lip treatments your Doctor/Nurse may use a dental block, which ensures a more comfortable procedure.
Is there anything I need to do/ or should be aware of before I have the treatment?
We advise that you avoid using aspirin or other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs a couple of days before your treatment (unless they are taken for a chronic medical condition). Avoiding these medications will reduce your risk of bruising at the point of injection. Ask your Medical Practitioner if you have any concerns.
