What’s it like to work here?

Three of our current employees share their stories:

A day in the life of a DestinationSkin Receptionist

Being a DestinationSkin Receptionist involves so much more than just answering the telephone and booking appointments.

We are the centre of activity, the person who welcomes and deals first hand with any clients, so we need to be professional and have detailed knowledge of what our clinics have to offer.

Organising the clinic diary, retail displays and keeping track of weekly figures for relevant DestinationSkin Staff, we are an important if not vital part of the clinic team.

My main focus is to ensure the smooth running of the day for the practitioners, making the clients feel welcome and helping to meet the clinic targets by advising clients on our product ranges.

It is great to be in a role that involves dealing with the clients so closely, I really get to know them and see how happy they are with the results from their treatments. My day is always varied and I get satisfaction from knowing that my job directly affects how the clinic works. I have had the opportunity to take part in training programmes that have expanded my knowledge of the industry and given me the drive to perform well in my role.

DestinationSkin is a growing company that values its staff and always recognises when a job is done well.

A day in the life of a DestinationSkin Practitioner

I have worked for DestinationSkin for 3 years. I do a variety of treatments which include IPL hair reduction and also skin prescriptions. I have a wide range of clients with many different concerns and I aim to treat everyone individually and get the best results for everyone. With every client who walks through the door I aim to build a good relationship with them which then results in them trusting me, the products and treatments I recommend.

My motivation at work is keeping my clients happy and catering to their needs, I have fantastic responses from all my clients about the treatments given, the results they see and the environment in which they received the treatment.

Working for DestinationSkin has increased my knowledge of products available and also treatments. The company is growing constantly, so lots of new things to learn and many opportunities to improve my skills.

The best part of my job is seeing client confidence grow. We help them mentally and physically. I feel a sense of achievement when my clients keep coming back to me for more treatments, due to my recommendation.

A day in the life of a Clinic Manager

As a Manager at DestinationSkin my role is less practical and more focused on driving the clinic sales, ensuring the clinic runs smoothly and motivating the practitioners which is vital for the success of the clinic.

Each day brings new challenges and fantastic rewards. I can be checking client records one minute and announcing to one of my practitioners that she has just won a DestinationSkin monthly incentive A TRIP TO NEW YORK the next.

Monthly targets are set both by the company and myself and I make sure my team has lots of fun achieving them! I often make up little games for the girls to motivate them and make reaching their targets more enjoyable. Each practitioner will be motivated by different things, once you know what they are its much easier to help them reach there goals which can prove very rewarding for you as a manager. A motivated team will achieve great sales!

Most importantly myself and my team feel valued and appreciated within the company, when you are doing well you are praised and when your not doing so well you are given help and advice.

I thoroughly enjoy my job at DestinationSkin, it is like being part of one big family.

If you are results driven this is the job for you!
